We’ve seen so many amazing designs from the Tiny Tapeout community in the past couple of years. Some teach, some surprise, some inspire, and some have become favourites that people keep coming back to.
So we asked a simple question: what would the best designs of all time look like if we put them together? 🤔
Yup, pretty epic.
In partnership with wafer.space, we are making a curated chip of the best Tiny Tapeout projects from across the community on one shared chip!
The Tiny Tapeout BOAT will be available as an add-on when you tapeout. It will be available from mid 2027.
The BOAT
The BOAT will include:
- Mini MOSbius, an analog FPGA for learning analog microelectronics
- A tiny FPGA from Leo Moser and the FABulous team
- Some of the winners of the different competitions we’ve had, like the TinyQV RISCV by Mike Bell, and Glyph Mode by James Ross
- Chip of the Week selections
- And many more!
Open source is at the heart of what we do and sharing these designs isn’t just about making them accessible online. We want to share them physically too! That way, not only can they be in the hands of the people who designed them, but also in the hands of the people who want to learn from them.
What design do you want on board?
