We just launched our first demoscene competition - and instead of using an existing computer, you create your own ASIC hardware.

34 designs were submitted from competitors around the world!
Designs were recorded by Tamas running on a Basys 3 FPGA board, using its built-in 4-bit VGA output and MuseLab’s PMOD-AUDIO. Silicon is due April 2025 for final judging.

Some standout wins: sylefeb took 1st in both Single Tile and Size with Why not?, and 1st in Graphics with Warp. Andy Sloane swept multiple categories with VGA Nyan Cat (Sound, 1st), Demo by a1k0n, and VGA donut. James Ross won Newcomer 1st place with Glyph Mode. The Mixed Signal category was won by Anton Maurovic with TT08 VGA FUN!
