It’s happening! Tiny Tapeout 01 has been submitted to Efabless for the free Google MPW7 shuttle on the SkyWater 130nm open-source PDK.
When we launched on August 17th, the goal was simple: make it easier and cheaper than ever to get your digital designs manufactured on a real chip, with the entire workflow in the cloud, needing no installation nor downloads.
Submissions closed September 1st and the response blew us away!
One hundred fifty-two projects were submitted. Designers used Wokwi, Verilog, XLS, Chisel, and Amaranth to pack 15,000 standard cells and 772mm of wire into 152 tiles, each just 100×100 microns.

The community has already grown to 206 Discord members, 380 mailing list subscribers, and 300,000 Twitter impressions since launch.
Big thanks to everyone who has been a part of this journey! TT01 didn’t just prove the concept. It built this community!
